Last year we launched the US Virgin Islands Department of Justice's First parenting class to the Haitian community. This year we've been blessed to offer that same incredible parenting program to the Spanish community. This program is also the USVI Department of Justice's first effort in serve the Spanish community through parenting programing! This program is designed to keep children safe, promote father engagement and support moms in parenting and is being offered to Spanish communities in St. Thomas and St. John.

This is a unique program that helps mothers improve the relationships they have with fathers for the benefit of their children by addressing coparenting and paternity issues. This group will help mothers become more knowledgeable, aware, confident, and skillful at engaging in coparenting. Help mothers reflect on how their own developmental history have and continue to influence the relationship with their children’s fathers and continue to teach mothers communication skills to improve the partnership between them and the father of their children.
The association of Women in Ministry International is an international faith-based organization designed to help empower Christians through providing access to various needed resources such as food, education, spiritual development and such. We were consulted to provide faith-based psychoeducational groups on various life issues from parenting, marriage, self-esteem, creating healthy life/ ministry balance, emotional health and helping members access needed mental health care and resources.

This program is designed to help fathers develop sets of behaviors that will help them become the best fathers possible by developing and applying 12 key behaviors that promote self awareness, caring for self, fathering skills, parenting skills and relationship skills. This program will also help fathers develop skills that would reflect his role in the family, address healthy masculinity and ways to build and maintain a good relationship with mom to ensure the safety and well-being of their children.
In response to the multiple deaths in this church due to Covid. We were consulted to address grief issues with the church and it expanded into weekly faith-based psychoeducational groups on various life issues from parenting, marriage, self-esteem, creating healthy life/ ministry balance, emotional health and helping members access needed mental health care and resources.

In an effort to extend services to the Haitian Community, the Access and Visitation Parternity and Child Support Program of the Virgin Island, proudly sponsored this incredible parenting education group designed to keep children safe, promote father engagement and support moms in parenting. This pilot program launched in partnership with the First Haitian Baptist of St Thomas.
We developed the program cirriculum and administer the program weekly through Zoom. |
